Life in the Retirement Village

Community life at Karaka Pines Rototuna, Hamilton’s newest retirement village, will centre on the clubhouse. Your clubhouse, where you can get together to talk, drink, eat and play.

Be it Friday night drinks, participating in a craft group, watching the Melbourne Cup, playing billiards, getting a book from the library or to simply enjoying a drink with friends on the deck in the afternoon sun this is the residents place to relax, socialise and play.

It’s the people who make a community fun and at Karaka Pines Rototuna you can be as sociable or as quiet as you wish. As the village develops you’ll have a spa, library, lawn for croquet or putting, an outdoors BBQ area, craft rooms, wellness area, a whole range of facilities and events to keep you busy and integrated into the village life.

Most people wonder what held them back from coming to the village earlier.

It can be daunting leaving your home of many years, but at Karaka Pines Rototuna the staff and the residents will make the change as seamless and as enjoyable as possible.

The village will eventually have around 200 residents with a range of clubs and activities to suit the residents varied interests.

Your safety is important, the village will be enclosed with security gates that are closed overnight and with regular security guard visits. Each home comes with an alarm which is monitored 24 hours, it puts you in touch with someone who can help, be that medical or a plumbing emergency. We are there to ensure you are looked after, and your concerns are handled promptly.
